THE IX FILES

I started working on this album for Payback Tyme Records right after my youth corps in 2000.

The initial producer was Da Capo (Gospel rapper) he was ill with the keyboard but I guess he wasn't exactly whut i really wanted ‘cos he couldn't sample, I was feeling Baron cos he's one hard working meticulous producer & he hooked me up with a couple of joints for the album. Then the studio (Sylvio Projekt Studio) packed up so I had to chill for a few months.

In 2001 I met this cat who just came from South Africa 'G-LYNX' en he produced the song that made Modenine a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music scene ...'ITS ABOUT TO GET UGLY'. He also did 'BACK WIVA VENGEANCE', 'SCHOOLIN Ft Ruleclean', 'RECIPE','ISSUES' FT Jid'dah (of Project Fame)...The truth is, I cant really list all the songs on the album cos I recorded about 26 tracks and I knew some of ‘em were not gonna make the final selection.

Some of the early ones don't sound like the recent me. The sad thing is .this album is still unreleased and so many heads have been disturbing and blaming me for not pushing it out!!! I understand but it aint ma fault!
