It is wild that comes from the heart
Deeper and untamed that is expressed
by the soul.
Is it too late or too soon
to curb the volcano?
It is strange the extent the mind can
possess.
Never letting go to that flicker of hope
what foolishness, yet what wisdom?
does it mean that lives that meet
must learn to part?
As I bid thee farewell with my
mind, the heart goes timid
to confess the same.
To profess the joy it would all
have been; the rat and the cheese,
the cat and cream.
Look beyond the words and see
the need that lurks within.
There are many yet so few
that see the depth of friendship.
Now that is gone, I live with
the emptiness of self and search.
