Once upon a time
At God knows where
I met a lady
In the splendour of her pretty-ness
Good enough to be an angel
Lovely, elegant and hypnotising
She demanded my name and I obliged her
But hers she claims is “indispensable”
For no one can do without it
Especially couples.
What a name I thought
For she is worth getting acquainted with
And may be, taken to the wonder land
To sow a seed for the future -
I stretching my hand for a shake
And my hungry lips for a soothing kiss
But a hard knock on the door
Deported me from the dream land.
