THE REAL DREAM

Ekene C.O.Atusiubah

One misty night
Rain was falling from the sun
I felt heat and cold
Suddenly
The moon appeared
I fixed my gaze
Wondering
The sun, the moon
What miracle
Owls screamed and
Bats hid
My eyes blazed with new hope
As I welcomed this event
One misty night
The rain hung on the air
Not reaching the roof
I walked the night
Unsoaked
Lighting flashed and stayed
Thunder spoke and spied
Grasses grew eight feet
The miracle continued
I woke
It was a dream
The real dream
