Back then,
it was wonderful sharing nice times with you together.
But now,
It is sorrowful knowing it’s all up with you forever.
And soon,
It will be pitiful wishing you were still here like a brother
However,
This pain may later leave like another goon.
But I never,
Can possibly forget the doom that occurred in June.
This poem was written in June 2001. It was inspired by the death of my beloved friend Joseph Okechukwu Umeoka, who died on 14th June 2001.
