The evening closed its eyes.
Darkness stood in silence,
Detaching its prey from the thoughts of chess.
Scents of heat began to choke the wind
Creating the threats of colourful icons.
Grey shadows in silver cloaks,
Ran through forests of green,
And pondered through lakes,
Searching in childlike hesitation.
And then it all happened too quickly
Fire became jealous of water,
The light and day threw punches,
And the world began to change…
Kids turned into adults.
Adults became animals.
Knowledge lost its place with wisdom,
While wars sprung up with evil pride,
And whilst we were still dreaming,
The evening closed its eyes.
